7 ways you're self-sabotaging your inner-healing

⁣Have you been sabotaging your healing? No judgement from me, momma. I’ve fallen off the wagon many times.

Healing ain’t easy. It’s definitely not the love and light I was promised by so many well-meaning 🤔 gurus.

Here are some of the ways that I was sabotaging my healing.
Maybe you can relate? 😅

1️⃣ Trying too hard… Hustle culture/consumer culture has gotten the best of us for years. Stop pushing. Now more than anything we are being called to go with the flow. Basically, Wooosahhhhh.

✨I have to remind myself all the time that it’s called wellBEing not wellDOing.✨

2️⃣ Being hard on yourself for needing rest. All things need rest - even us supermomma’s. There is no way that we can take care of anyone or anything if we don’t take care of ourselves first. Many of us don’t let our cars get below ½ a tank of gas… why should we be okay with running our personal tanks on exhaust fumes?

3️⃣ Total avoidance. Yea. The flip side of the coin to point #1 (and it usually happens when you begin to feel the effects of point #2) Sometimes you JUST CAN’T DEAL. When this happens rest is usually the answer. It’s ok to put a problem down and pick it up at a later date.⠀

4️⃣ Too much social media = comparison + time wasting.
We know it’s just other people’s highlight reel yet we continue to compare ourselves. For the love of God why?

✨Healing is about YOU! It is your present self VS. your former self. No one else. PERIOD. ✨

5️⃣ Trusting the oracle (yes, I mean Google) more than yourself.
I posted recently my fav quote by India Arie, “you know the truth by the way it feels.”

Lean in and trust your gut. I know this can be tricky for those of us who didn’t get validation in childhood. I’m rooting for you. 💪🏽

6️⃣ Fearing that you’re too broken. There is no such thing.

7️⃣ Fearing that you’re too late. If you’re reading this it’s not too late.
